As global business news outlets are printing one article after another on the nearing exit of Suzuki from the Chinese market, Changan Suzuki has launched a new Suzuki Vitara. It’s not the facelifted model but the 'Stars Edition' of the C-SUV.
The Suzuki Vitara Stars Edition is painted in a special amber gold colour. In addition to the elegant colour, the Stars Edition model features a distinctive front grille, C-shaped black trim outside the fog lamps and a rear spoiler.
The interior is enhanced with gold accents that create a dual-tone colour scheme matching with the body paint. The contrasting colour is seen on the dashboard, door panels and transmission tunnel, as air vent surrounds, and in the seat upholstery. Another change is that the infotainment system offers CarLife support. The Suzuki Vitara Stars Edition is based on the regular Suzuki Vitara’s Luxury grade.
On top of these features, it is equipped with LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lights, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, silver roof rails and more from the standard model.
Under the hood, the Suzuki Vitara Stars Edition has the 1.4-litre BoosterJet engine that produces 103 kW (140 PS) at 5,500 rpm and 220 Nm of torque at 1,700-4,000 rpm. The turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine sends power to the wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Suzuki’s ALLGRIP full-time 4WD system is unavailable in the special edition model, as is the case with the Luxury grade.
