The Suzuki Solio has been spotted on Indian roads. A solitary image shared by Team-BHP reveals an undisguised unit plying on Gurugram roads close to Maruti Suzuki's manufacturing facility in Manesar.
The Solio is a sub-4 m with seating for 4-5 occupants. It measures 3,710 mm long, 1,625 mm wide, and 1,745 mm tall. Dimensionally, it is longer and wider than the Maruti Wagon R. Unlike the Wagon R, the Suzuki Solio features sliding doors for access to the rear bench.
It is powered by Suzuki's 1.2 L K12C petrol engine with a hybrid setup. The engine produces 91 PS and 118 Nm. There are two Hybrid variants on offer - SZ and SX - with an AMT gearbox, two mild hybrid variants - MZ and MX - mated to a CVT and a non-hybrid G variant also mated to a CVT.

Maruti currently has no plans to bring the Solio to India. However, the company has confirmed the Wagon R is due to receive an update over the course of this year. The Solio, or a product based on the Solio may be brought in as the new generation Wagon R. Maruti could showcase the Solio at the upcoming Auto Expo to gauge public reaction to the model.
