Suzuki Motorcycle India today launched the new GSX-S1000 and the GSX-S1000F motorcycles in the country, priced at INR 12.25 lakhs and INR 12.7 lakhs, respectively, ex-Showroom, New Delhi. Both motorcycles were unveiled at the INTERMOT 2014 in Cologne, Germany, in October last year.
Based on an all-new frame with technical highlights borrowed from the GSX-R1000 K5, the 2015 GSX-S1000 and the GSX-S1000F pack a new liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-cylinder, four-stroke 999 cc engine paired to a 6-speed transmission.
Braking power for these new 1-liter class motorcycles come from twin discs up front and a single disc at the rear. ABS is provided as a standard feature on both motorcycles.
The GSX-S1000 measures 2,115 mm in length, 795 mm in width, 1,080 mm in height and 1,460 mm in wheelbase. Its faired sibling, the S1000F, is 1,180 mm in height, and identical to the S1000 in all other aspects. Obviously, thanks to the aggressively designed fairing, the S1000F weighs 214 kg whereas the S1000 tips the scale at 209 kg.

For the Indian market, two color choices are available on these bikes - Glass Sparkle Black/Candy Daring Red and Metallic Triton Blue.
