Model tested was made in Hungary.
The ASEAN NCAP have just published results of the crash test conducted on the Suzuki S-Cross. The S-Cross that was crash tested, was made at Suzuki's Hungarian plant, and was in its Malaysian/Singaporean specification. It was equipped with dual front airbags, ABS and ESC as standard.

For AOP (Adult Occupant Protection), the S-Cross scored 15.48/16, resulting in a 5/5 star rating. It is to be noted that the S-Cross scored higher than the Honda CR-V (which got 15.46/16), and is now the "leading scorer for the SUV category under ASEAN NCAP". The frontal off-set crash test was carried out at a speed of 63 km/h.
Maruti-Suzuki is expected to launch the S-Cross towards the end of July or in early-August. For the Indian market, the S-Cross will be manufactured at the Manesar plant with Indian specifications in mind.

According to reports, the S-Cross for the Indian market will be powered by a 1.6-liter Fiat-sourced MultiJet diesel engine paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. The AllGrip AWD model is unlikely to be offered in India.
