The Suzuki GSX-R150 has the best power to weight ratio in the segment.
Suzuki Indonesia has commenced production of the Suzuki GSX-R150. Pictures and videos of the motorcycle rolling off the assembly line have been posted on Facebook fan groups and YouTube, ahead of its commercial launch next month.
The growing GSX family welcomed this new member in November when the bike, along with its naked brother, GSX-S150, were unveiled at Indonesia Motorcycle Show 2016.
At the heart of the motorcycle is a 147.3 cc single cylinder, water-cooled mill coupled to a 6 speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 19.17 PS of maximum power at 10,500 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm. The Suzuki GSX-R150 tips the scales at just 131 kg, giving it the segment-best power-to-weight ratio.
The Suzuki GSX-R150 gets an all-digital instrumentation with LED headlamp. The bike also gets keyless ignition and Suzuki Easy Start system. The design inspirations of the bike can be traced back to the new 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000 and GSX-R125. The fuel tank is a direct lift from the Gixxer 155 sold in India.
The bike measures 2,020 mm in length, 700 mm in width and 1,075 mm in height. Ground clearance of the Suzuki GSX-R150 is 160 mm and the seat height is an approachable 785 mm. The bike meets Euro 3 emission norms.
