After unveiling their new models in January, Suzuki Motorcycles India showcased the Gixxer motorcycle and Let's scooter at the Auto Expo, apart from the premiere display, the V-Strom ABS.
Suzuki Gixxer
Claimed to offer "exceptional riding performance” and “best fuel economy in class", the Gixxer is powered by a four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC engine displacing 150 cc. The bike gets a telescopic suspension at the front and a swingarm type mono-shock suspension for the rear. A disc brake is seen at the front while the rear gets a drum brake.
Suzuki Let's
It seems two-wheeler makers will do anything to stop Honda's reign of the 110 cc scooter segment. With Hero Motocorp, TVS and Yamaha announcing their respective 110 cc scooter offerings, Suzuki too announced the Let's scooter.
Powered by a 112.8 cc, four-stroke, air-cooled, SOHC engine, the Let's produces 8.7 hp at 7,500 rpm and 9 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The scooter gets a CVT gearbox and a maintenance free battery, along with a 5.2 liter fuel tank.
The front and rear wheels feature 120 mm drum brakes and are shod with 90/100-10 tubeless tires. Weighing 98 kg, the Let's measures 1,810 mm in length and has a ground clearance of 160 mm.
