Suzuki has launched the Suzuki Gixxer SP and Suzuki Gixxer SF SP special editions in India, priced at INR 80,726 (ex-showroom Delhi) and INR 88,857 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. Both special edition models are expected to be produced in limited numbers.
The Suzuki Gixxer SP and Suzuki Gixxer SF SP will be available in Matt Fibroin Grey and Glass Sparkle Black (AR4) exterior schemes. Both special edition models feature race flag and SP logo decals, Gixxer SP emblem, red pin stripes and two-tone (red-black) seats.
The Suzuki Gixxer measures 2,050 mm in length, 785 mm in width and 1,030 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 1,330 mm and a ground clearance of 160 mm. Its seat height measures 780 mm. The Suzuki Gixxer SF measures the same in every dimension except the height - 1,085 mm. Being the fully-faired version of the Gixxer, the Gixxer SF is 4 kg heavier with a kerb weight of 139 kg.
Both Suzuki Gixxer and Suzuki Gixxer SF are powered by a 154.9 cc single-cylinder carburetted engine that produces 14.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. In related news, the Suzuki Gixxer SF-Fi, the fuel-injected variant of the Suzuki Gixxer SF unveiled at Auto Expo 2016, will be available now in select cities and dealerships exclusively in the MotoGP edition colour.
