Could be offered in two versions.
The rumored Suzuki Gixxer 250 is reported to be headed for an unveil at the 2016 Auto Expo in Greater Noida in February, according to a report on NDTV.
Expected to be built on the company's GSX platform, the Suzuki Gixxer 250 is imagined as a super sports model with a full fairing at the front, imitating the Suzuki GSX-R1000. It is reported to feature a 250 cc engine that will produce 25-30 bhp of maximum power. The bike could have a newly developed swing-arm, ABS-governed disc brakes on both wheels and premium tyres.
Following the success of the Suzuki Gixxer 155 and the Suzuki Gixxer SF 155, the Gixxer 250 is expected to be launched in India next year, first as a sports model and later as a street fighter. The models could be named the Suzuki GSX-R250 and the Suzuki GSX-S250 respectively given that it is expected to be inspired by the more powerful GSX series motorcycles that include the GSX-R1000, GSX-R600, GSX-S750, and the GSX-S1000.
Currently in India, only two of the GSX series models are being sold, via CBU route - the GSX-R1000 and the GSX-S1000.
