Suzuki Motorcycle India has extended its product portfolio with the launch of the Gixxer 250. The quarter-litre naked roadster is available at INR 1,59,800*. In comparison, the 155 cc variant retails at INR 1,00,212* and the fully-faired Gixxer SF 250 is available at INR 1,70,655*.

The Suzuki Gixxer 250 shares the hardware and engine specifications with the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. Its 249 cc single-cylinder, 4-valve, SOHC motor with Suzuki Oil Cooling System and fuel injection system delivers 26.5 PS of peak power 9,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of maximum torque at 7,500 rpm. The single-cylinder mill comes linked to a six-speed transmission.
Hardware specifications include conventional telescopic front forks, monoshock rear suspension and disc brakes on both wheels. Similar to the fully-faired model, the braking department is governed by a dual-channel ABS.
Other key features of the Gixxer 250 include a full LED headlight, LED taillight and a digital instrument console. Styling cues on the quarter-litre naked roadster pack muscular styling with tank shrouds, chrome 3D Suzuki logo on the tank, an engine cowl and a twin-pod exhaust with chrome tip and heat shield. The split style seat and the twin-piece pillion grabrail add a sporty touch to the package. The side panel of the motorcycle almost matches the paint of the crankcase cover of the engine.
In terms of colours, the Gixxer 250 is available in two options:
- Metallic Matte Silver/Metallic Matte Black (dual-tone)
- Metallic Matte Black
The naked roadster, similar to the Gixxer SF 250, uses a 12-litre fuel tank. However, the Gixxer 250 tips the weighing scale at 156 kg as against 161 kg on the Gixxer SF 250. The wider, single-piece handlebar also increases the length of the Gixxer 250 marginally over the Gixxer SF 250.
