At GIIAS 2018, Suzuki had introduced the Ertiga Suzuki Sport Concept. This model is now ready in production form as the Suzuki Ertiga GT and has started reaching dealerships in Indonesia. Here’s a brief walkaround video showing the production version.

The Suzuki Ertiga GT is a product from Suzuki Sport, Suzuki’s Indonesian division that develops special edition models, accessories parts and apparels targeted at young customers. It features a honeycomb upper grille and lower grille and a front lower spoiler for more aggressive styling. Side skirts and gloss black wheels give a sportier look to the profile.

At the rear, black accent on the bumper, a roof spoiler and an underbody spoiler differentiate the GT variant from the regular Suzuki Ertiga. Suzuki Sport has used FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) for the bodykit of this variant.

The Suzuki Ertiga GT is unlikely to have any mechanical changes. Under the hood, it should pack the same K15B 1.5-litre VVT petrol engine as the standard variant. The naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine produces 104.7 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. This engine sends power to the front wheels via a standard 5-speed manual transmission or an optional 4-speed automatic transmission in the standard variant.

Suzuki will launch the Ertiga GT in Indonesia on 22 March 2019. The company is working on a crossover based on the Ertiga as well for this market, and it plans to release this derivative around the end of this year. For India, Maruti Suzuki is developing a comfort-oriented 6-seat version, which it will sell exclusively through the premium NEXA outlets.
