Will be powered by a 1.6-liter VVT engine matched to a 6-speed AT.
Ahead of its impending Chinese launch, further images and details of the Suzuki Alivio (Maruti Ciaz) are now available.
As reported earlier the exterior of the Alivio in comparison to the Ciaz gets more content in the form of a full chrome grille, chrome highlights for the foglight enclosures and rear reflectors and larger alloy wheels. The sedan can be ordered with a sunroof in China as well.
Inside, the overall dashboard and design of the items used are largely similar to the Ciaz's. However Chinese model gets a different 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. In the features department, the top-end variant of the Alivio would get TCS, cruise control and heated wing mirrors in addition to the features seen on the Indian model.
Powering the Alivio is a naturally-aspirated 1.6-liter petrol engine with Suzuki's VVT technology. The power and torque outputs of this engine remain undisclosed, but Chinese media reports say that it will come paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. This is superior to the 1.4-liter engine and four-speed AT offered on the top-end Ciaz.
