The rear gets a wide C-pillar and a 300 mm increase in length.
Ssangyong is working on an extended version of the Ssangyong Tivoli crossover that will appeal to a wider audience. New images of the 7-seater Tivoli have surfaced online, courtesy of auto.ifeng.
The extended wheelbase version will reportedly be 300 mm longer than the standard offering. This is expected to drastically improve the rear cabin space and provide room for a third row of seats. The current Tivoli has a length of 4,195 mm and a wheelbase of 2,600 mm.
A spyshot of the test mule's interior reveals a four-spoke multi-function steering wheel, cylindrical-shaped instrument dials, silver metallic finish on the dashboard and door trims, and leather upholstery. The prototype is equipped with a basic infotainment system, while a touchscreen infotainment system could be available for higher trim levels, when launched
Power for the Ssangyong Tivoli XL (name unconfirmed) will be derived from the current 1.6-liter petrol and diesel units found in the regular Tivoli. The petrol mill produces 128 PS and 157 Nm of torque while the diesel churns out 115 PS and 300 Nm of peak pulling power. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options.
