Love James Bond but can't afford an Aston Martin? Worry not! Ford is coming up with the new Fiesta sedan with Aston Martin-ish grill.
Ford's obsession with the iconic British marque which they once owned started with the new Fusion and is also seen in the faclifted Fiesta hatchback. So, it's only a matter of time before the Fiesta sedan gets the new family nose.
Chinacartimes.com have posted these spy pictures of Fiesta sedan, being tested in their country. There is no doubt that the concealed details of the grill are similar to that of the hatchback sibling which was showcased at the Paris motor show last month.
In addition to the grill, the front bumper is also new with black plastic add-on to the fog lamp enclosure and a lower air dam. While the headlamp shape remains largely unchanged, it's nearest point to the grill will be blunted like in the new hatchback.
There are no changes to the interior or the side, but the rear fascia is disguised and that suggests that Ford may do something about the not so great looking butt. We would welcome if the tail lamps undergo subtle change of shape to make them easy on the eyes.
The 1.0 turbocharged EcoBoost motor will be added to the existing engine options.
In India, the Ford Fiesta didn't have the kind of the take off the company would've expected which is mostly due to the high pricing. If Ford India can rectify the pricing debacle with the facelifted version when it's launched here, this brilliant product will definitely get the attention it deserves.
