Mahindra-Reva's first child, the E2O electric car had been spied number of times by our enthusiastic readers, but not even on a single occasion did the car reveal its interior.
Thanks to our ardent reader Mr. Sandeep Reddy, we now know how the interior looks like. Sandeep caught this unsuspecting test mule with its window wound down, near Bengaluru.
The EV has a decent dashboard layout with two large screens - one in the instrument binnacle and the other is located at the center console. The circular AC vents have silver accents and the three spoke steering wheel has Mahindra's logo and doesn't mention anything about Reva.
The prominent circular display in the instrument cluster should provide all the vital tell tale information one need to know while driving an EV such as the battery status, range, temperature, speed etc. The car appears to be richly equipped and the center console display looks like a touchscreen multimedia infotainment system which could include audio player, GPS navigation and similar gadgetry.
The black dashboard looks like it has good levels of quality but we reserve our judgement on that until we inspect it personally. Overall, the dashboard layout is simple and functional.
The launch of the electric car which is originally scheduled to take place in November has been postponed due to some unknown reasons. The E2O is expected to go on sale in a month or two.
