Indian Autos Blog learns today that Skoda India will showcase facelifts of the Superb and Yeti at the 2014 Auto Expo that starts on the 5th of February. It is understood that the company will not have any price announcements or market introductions at the show and that all exhibits would come only for display/demo purposes.
Besides the two facelifts, the company is preparing an 'Action' model (what Skoda calls a 'special edition' in their meetings) of the Rapid. Skoda launched two Action models last year - the Skoda Rapid Leisure Edition and the Skoda Rapid Prestige Edition - and the one bowing at the Expo could be the Rapid Ultima Edition.
Skoda will not exhibit European models at the Auto Expo like they have done in the past. In the 2010 edition, the company had brought down the Greenline variant of the Fabia, the Fabia Combi and the Superb Combi, which weren't green lit for this market. Since then cars like the Citigo, Rapid Liftback and the new Octavia Combi have come on-board, which we are told by inside sources, would not be on view at this year's edition.
