A Red colour variant of the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X has been spied ahead of its official launch tomorrow. As per the leaked brochure, the colour is called 'Roving Red'.
This Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X gets gloss black finish on the fenders and the side boxes. The lower portion of the front fork, headlight and tail light nacelle, indicators, and twin pod instrument cluster have matte black finish. The new handlebars look slightly more forward-biased, while the footpeg positions are the same as the normal Thunderbird’s. The seat is a single-piece ‘Gunslinger’ unit. The rear gets split grab rail instead of the cushioned back rest. This enhances the design flow at the rear. The instrument cluster reportedly does not feature hazard lamp switch.

The biggest addition to the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X is the 9-spoke alloy wheels. The black wheels get red rim stickers. Tubeless MRF Nylogrip Zapper tyres wrap the wheels, which is a first for a Royal Enfield. Tubeless tyres handle punctures much better than tubed ones. The powertrain and the exhaust system have matte black finish.
The mechanicals are the same, with a 346 cc single cylinder twin spark mill. The engine makes 19.8 bhp at 5,250 rpm and 28 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The powerplant gets a 5-speed gearbox. Cycle parts include telescopic front fork and twin gas-charged rear suspension. The front and rear disc brakes do not have ABS yet.
