Royal Enfield North America said on its Instagram account this month that a fuel-injected version of the Royal Enfield Himalayan could be under development.
The Instagram account of Royal Enfield North America says "As of current, the Royal Enfield Himalayan that was introduced in February 2016 is an Indian market specification model. A future EFI variant for North America is anticipated, but is not guaranteed at present."
The Royal Enfield Himalayan for India is powered by a 411 cc air-cooled single-cylinder carbureted engine with an oil-cooler and SOHC, that produces 24.5 PS at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm at 4,000-4,500 rpm. The motor is paired with a five-speed gearbox.

The company hasn't revealed its export plan for the Himalayan yet. The Royal Enfield brand is being introduced in several two wheeler markets around the globe, with the latest one being Bangkok, Thailand. RE plans to expand its global presence and become a more significant player in the mid-size motorcycle segment (250-750 cc), and the first store in the USA is expected to begin sales this year.
