Royal Enfield has released a teaser video, which appears to be for the Royal Enfield Himalayan in camouflage colour variant. Royal Enfield will launch the new colour variant on the 12th of this month.
The teaser video bears the caption- ‘Takes after the mountains. Built to be one with it. Coming on January 12.’ Going by the visuals in the video, the upcoming variant will bear a camouflage colour scheme. The Royal Enfield Himalayan Camo Edition was spied at a dealership last week.
The new colour scheme looks like snow camouflage, and is apt for an adventure bike like the Himalayan. The fuel tank, front and rear fender get the new camo colour. The powertrain, suspension, and the rims are all black. The mechanical underpinnings are likely to remain the same as the existing Himalayan.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan draws power from a single cylinder 411 cc SOHC mill. With fuel injection, the engine generates 24.5 bhp of power at 6,500 rpm, and 32 Nm of torque at 4,250 rpm. A 5-speed transmission does duty in the motorcycle. The engine nestles inside a half-duplex split cradle frame. For suspension, the motorcycle employs 41 mm telescopic front fork, and a rear monoshock with linkage. A 300 mm front and a 240 mm rear disc handle the braking responsibility.
Royal Enfield will also be launching the Thunderbird 350X and the Thunderbird 500X variants this month. The bikes were spotted at testing recently. The 350X and the 500X are sportier and youthful than the regular Thunderbird, thanks to the new colours, and alloy wheels.
