Royal Enfield has revealed prices of the 650 Twins for Europe and the UK at the EICMA 2018. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is priced from € 6,200 RRP (INR 5.10 lakh) in Spain, Italy and Portugal, while the prices in rest of Europe starts from € 6,400 RRP (INR 5.26 lakh). In the UK, the Interceptor 650 is priced at £ 5,500 OTR (INR 5.17 lakh).
On the other hand, prices of the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 starts at € 6,400 RRP (INR 5.26 lakh) in Spain, Italy and Portugal, and € 6,600 RRP (INR 5.42 lakh) in rest of Europe. The UK prices of the Continental GT 650 start from £ 5,700 OTR (INR 5.36 lakh).
The Royal Enfield 650 twins will be delivered from early 2019 and bookings are underway. The bikes will come with a three year / unlimited km warranty as standard. The Continental GT 650 is a modern-retro café racer, while the Interceptor 650 is a neo-classic roadster. Both bikes share the same engine, chassis, suspension and various other peripherals.
The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 features a relaxed riding position with the centre-set footpegs and a raised handlebar. The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is the sportier of the two, with clip-on handlebars and rear-set footpegs. The GT 650 has a 12.5 litres fuel tank, while that on the Interceptor 650 is a 13.7 litres unit.
The Royal Enfield 650 twins source power from a new 648 cc, parallel-twin, air-cooled, 8-valve, SOHC, fuel-injected motor that is tuned to generate a maximum power of 47 bhp at 7,100 rpm and a peak torque of 52 Nm 5,250 rpm. A slip-assist clutch enabled 6-speed gearbox transfers control to the wheel via a chain drive.

Both bikes have an identical saddle height of 804 mm and a ground clearance of 174 mm. However, the Continental GT 650 tips the scales at 198 kg, while the Interceptor 650 is slightly heavier at 202 kg. The Royal Enfield 650 twins are slated to launch in India on 14 November and are the price expectation is INR 2.50-3 lakh (ex-showroom).
