The Concept KX bobber is a modern reincarnation of the Royal Enfield Model KX, which was first introduced in 1936. Royal Enfield has maintained the overall low-slung design of the vintage bike on the Concept KX bobber. In fact, even the V-twin engine has a similar layout as compared to the 1,140cc V-twin engine on the Model KX.
According to the company, work on the Royal Enfield Concept KX bobber started in March 2017 and was initiated as a fun project. The company envisages a future flagship bobber model through this concept. Royal Enfield is reportedly working of multiple motorcycles, of which, the K platform is likely to spawn the Concept KX bobber.
The Royal Enfield Concept KX bobber features an elongated fuel tank that is finished in a shade of British Racing Green. The motorcycle comes with an all-LED headlight with DRLs, chopped fenders and a single leather-wrapped seat. Suspension duties are shouldered by a girder fork up front and a mono-shock at the rear, which is neatly hidden into the chassis.
Powering the Royal Enfield Concept KX bobber is an 838cc, V-twin engine with oil cooling and fuel injection. The engine is jointly developed by Royal Enfield and Polaris Industries in the UK. The motor reportedly develops 90 hp of maximum power and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
