The Renault Triber made its world debut in India last month. Now, a new report says that the sub-4 metre MPV will be launched in India in the first week of August this year.

Renault Triber Profile
The Renault Triber comes with a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine which delivers 72 PS at 6,250 rpm and 96 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm.

The Triber is Renault's first all-new product in India after nearly two years. Built on the CMF-A+ platform, the Triber looks inspired by the Kwid and thus shares high resemblance, especially up-front. It will be equipped with features such as 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, passive keyless entry, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 15-inch alloy wheels, 3.5-inch MID and removable third-row seats. It addition to the standard features such as ABS, driver and front passenger seat belt reminder, rear parking sensors, speed alert system and driver airbag, it will also be kitted with a front passenger airbag, side airbags and rear parking camera.

In terms of dimensions, the Renault Triber measures 3,990 mm in length, 1,739 mm in width and 1,643 mm in height. Its length has been restricted to the 4-metre mark in order to save it from the higher taxes which are levied on longer vehicles. Other than this, it has a wheelbase of 2,636 mm and a ground clearance of 182 mm. With the foldable/removable third-row of seats, the MPV offers different luggage space capacities: 625 litres in 5-seater condition, 320 litres in 6-seater condition and  84 litres in 7-seater condition.

Under the hood, it comes with a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine which delivers 72 PS at 6,250 rpm and 96 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. It will be coupled to a standard 5-speed manual transmission or an optional 5-speed automated manual transmission. A more powerful and torquier turbocharged petrol engine will be introduced in 2020, but a diesel engine option isn't planned.
