Part of company's plan to launch 10 new cars in 2016.
At Renault's 2016 shareholders' meeting, the company has revealed that 4 new products are in the pipeline for this year in Europe, two of which are the Renault Megane sedan and a Renault 1 ton pickup (both names unconfirmed).
The Renault Megane sedan, as the name suggests, will be the sedan version of the fourth generation Renault Megane that debuted at the 2015 IAA in Frankfurt. Replacing the aging Renault Fluence, the Megane sedan will be based on the hatchback's CMF platform and borrow its styling cues.
The Megane saloon will use the hatch's powertrain roster which includes three TCe petrol motors with maximum power outputs of 100 hp, 130 hp and 205 hp, and three dCi diesel mills that deliver 90 hp, 110 hp and 130 hp.
The Renault pickup is likely to be the production-spec Renault Alaskan that was unveiled late last year as a concept. Based on the Nissan Navara, the Renault Alaskan will have a maximum payload of 1 tonne. As per a purported leaked image, it features the familiar Renault face with large, swept back projector headlamps that flow into a V-shaped grille, fog lamps with chrome accents and a silver skid plate, straying not too far from the concept's design.

The pickup's engine lineup will include the Energy dCi 135 and Energy dCi 165 four-cylinder twin-turbodiesel engines from the Renault Master LCV range. It will be available in a range of bodystyles to further increase its appeal, Renault announced.
Besides the Renault Grand Scenic (7 seater), Renault also confirms a new B-Segment crossover for 2016. This could be the facelift of the Renault Captur or the just-launched Renault Kaptur from Russia.
