Will be powered by the 1.5L diesel engine.
Renault India showcased the upcoming Lodgy MPV at the Renault Star Guild Awards show recently. The company released the first image of the India-spec MPV last month, and confirmed an early-2015 launch. The model showcased is the Stepway variant, which was revealed at the Paris motor show. It gets skid protectors, side body cladding, and 'Stepway' badging on the doors.
The Indian model, in comparison to the international version, benefits from additional chrome detailing on its grille. Renault could also equip the top-end variant with a touchscreen infotainment system, much like the Duster.
The Lodgy for India will be powered by the 1.5-liter four-cylinder K9K diesel engine, though Renault hasn't announced specifications just as yet. The capable diesel unit could be paired to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed manual depending on its power state.
Though the car maker has products like the Pulse, Scala, Fluence and Koleos, volumes are expected to come from utility vehicles like the Duster and Lodgy. The Duster and Lodgy will in fact share many parts and components.
