Following its unveil at the Auto Expo 2016, Renault India has launched the more powerful Kwid 1.0L MT for sale. It's only available in RxT and RxT (O) grades and prices start from INR 3,82,776 and INR 3,95,776 (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.
The Kwid 1.0 is around INR 22,000 more expensive than the Kwid 0.8 RxT. For that, the buyer is getting an all new 999 cc three cylinder SCe engine producing 68 PS and 91 Nm. A 5-speed manual is the only gearbox available, while an AMT variant will arrive a short time later. The Kwid 1.0 is claimed to offer a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio of 97 PS/tonne and an average fuel efficiency of 23.01 km/L.
To differentiate from the Kwid 0.8, the Kwid 1.0 has a black and white chequered decal with a ‘1.0’ lettering on the lower portion of its side profile and gloss grey ORVM caps. For further personalization, Renault does offer a wide range of accessories for the Kwid at an extra cost.

As it's only sold in the top-end RxT and RxT(O), the Kwid 1.0 comes equipped with a 7-inch MEDIANAV touchscreen display, Bluetooth connectivity and GPS-guided navigation, fabric seat upholstery with red inserts, front power window, optional driver’s airbag and front seat-belt pretensioners, and remote central locking.
