Based on the CMF-A platform.
According to a report from last week, Renault is working on a range of new, bigger products based on the Renault Kwid. One of them includes a compact SUV, for which IAB's graphic artist, Shoeb R Kalania, has generated a rendering.
Given that the Kwid is a runaway success for the brand, Renault is looking to replicate the success in other segments as well. The compact SUV (codenamed HBC) will draw a number of cues from the Renault Kwid, but feature a rugged, larger exterior.
It will be based on an evolution of the CMF-A platform, dubbed CMF-A+, which will accommodate bigger bodystyles and engines. As of now, technical details on the Kwid-based SUV are scarce, but expect petrol and diesel variants in the offering.
