The India-made Renault Duster launched in South Africa in September 2013 and this week, the South African subsidiary announced that it has sold 10,000 copies of the SUV in the country.
To celebrate the milestone, the company has launched the Duster Limited Edition EXPLORE. Only 100 units of this special edition will be made.
The special edition Duster is the Dynamique 4x2 Limited Edition EXPLORE model, based on the Duster 1.6 16V Dynamique 4x2. It's priced same as the standard model though, at R2,58,900 (INR 11,34,482.89). This price includes 5-year/1,50,000 km mechanical warranty, 3-year/45,000 km service plan and a 6-year anti-corrosion warranty. Highlights of the special edition model are Duster-branded nudge bar, new limited edition 16-inch alloy wheels, wheel arch and reverse camera. Metallic paint and leather interior cost R2,500 (INR 10,954.84) and R10,000 (INR 43,819.35) extra respectively.

The Renault Duster Dynamique 4x2 Limited Edition EXPLORE is available only with petrol power. There's the K4M 1.6-litre four-cylinder unit under the bonnet, producing 77 kW (103.21 hp) at 5,750 rpm and 148 Nm of torque at 3,750 rpm and sending power to the wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. The 6-speed manual transmission continues being exclusive to the diesel-powered Duster.
