The Renault Duster Anniversary Edition was introduced about 10 days ago to mark the first anniversary of the Duster's launch in India. Indian Autos Blog reader, Mr. Krishnan, spotted this Anniversary Edition Duster outside a Renault dealership.
The Duster Anniversary Edition comes painted in a new 'Cosmos Blue' body color which is not offered as part of the standard color options. However, a similar shade christened 'Caspian Blue' is made at the Renault-Nissan plant in Chennai and is exported to the UK and Ireland with a Dacia badge.
Renault have also included side body graphics with a "1st Anniversary Edition" and "Duster" badges. The wing mirrors get a silver finish and come integrated with turn signals. This is also available as a dealer-level accessory on the Duster.
The Duster Anniversary Edition is available only on the top-end RxZ 110 PS version. This variant is powered by the Renault 1.5-liter K9K diesel engine and outputs 110 PS and 248 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. It commands a premium of INR 50,000 over the regular RxZ 110 PS version.
The Duster facelift was unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show last month. However, only the Dacia variant was shown and we are yet to see the facelift with the Renault lozenge. Apart from a visual makeover, the Duster facelift introduces a new 1.2-liter TCe turbocharged petrol engine option, multi-function steering wheel, and cruise control.
