Bajaj Auto has officially launched the Refreshed Bajaj Platina ComforTec in India at a price of INR 46,656, ex-showroom, Delhi.
The main feature of the new Bajaj Platina ComforTec is the LED DRLs on top of the headlamp. Bajaj claims that it is the first Indian bike in the 100cc-150cc segment to come with LED DRL and consumes 88% less power and four times longer life. It also comes with new graphics, new instrument cluster design and superior tyres. The bike is available in ebony black with silver decals and cocktail wine with red stickers, across all Bajaj dealerships across India.

The USP of the bike is the ComforTec feature. The Platina comes with 28% longer travel front telescopic suspension and 22% longer rear twin SNS shock absorbers resulting in superior absorption of jerks, therefore delivering maximum comfort to the rider. It also sports a ‘spring-soft’ seat, rubber footpads and directional tyres that enhance ride comfort and stability.

The new Bajaj Platina ComforTec employs a 102cc single cylinder 2-valve DTS-I engine. It generates 7.9 PS of power at 7,500 rpm and 8.34 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Both kick and electric starter are standard, and the claimed top speed is 90 kmph. The engine mates with a 4-speed transmission. Brakes include 130 mm drum at the front and 110 mm drum at the rear.
Bajaj launched the Platina ES Spoke variant in August, this year. It is INR 4,006 cheaper than the new variant. The new Platina ComforTec rivals the Hero Splendor series, TVS Sport and Hero HF Deluxe series.
