Based on the 3 hatchback.
After posting a teaser image last week, Qoros has finally revealed its first SUV that will make its debut at the 2014 Guangzhou Auto Show later this week.
Dubbed as the Qoros 3 City SUV, it's based on the 3 hatch and features a design similar to other Qoros products. Sticking to its SUV credentials, the 3 City SUV has higher ground clearance, black plastic lower body cladding, and a matte silver plastic diffuser at the rear that integrates a dual exhaust pipe system.
The interior of the SUV is close to its smaller brother, the 3 hatchback. One of the few highlights that Qoros claims to offer is a "commanding driving position" that the driver is kept in. To keep prices low for the basic model, leather upholstery, infotainment system with touchscreen display, automatic air conditioning, and rear parking camera are all offered as optional equipment.
Underneath the hood is a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that is available in two different power outputs: 124 bhp and 154 bhp (fitted with a turbocharger). The engine is coupled to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual clutch automatic, and the drive is sent to the front wheels.
