Chinese-Israeli automotive maker Qoros has sent out a teaser image of the Qoros 2 SUV concept that will bow at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show, which opens to the media on April 20.
Qoros has stayed mum on the details of the car, but CarNewsChina say that the SUV will be launched in the last quarter of the year, and has until now been known as the XQ3 in the local media circles. The mid-size SUV would be based on the Qoros 3 and have a 1.6L turbo engine with outputs of 156 hp and 220 Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DCT. The site adds that a new 1.8L turbo with about 185 hp could also make it to the vehicle.
All Qoros models are manufactured Changshu, China with the plant having a production capacity of 150,000 cars, which can be raised to 450,000. Qoros currently sells the 3 hatch, 3 sedan and City 3 crossover in China and parts of Europe.
