Global unveil to take place on May 2.
A Nissan Kicks test mule was spied, ahead of its global unveil on May 2. It's expected to go on sale in South American markets first, before considering other countries like India, U.S.
The spyshot reveals the rear-end of the compact SUV, which is seemingly close to the design of the Nissan Kicks Concept. Nissan claims that the Kicks SUV will have a “strong design statement” as well “performance that customers crave”.
The Nissan Kicks is likely to be based on the company’s older V-platform, which still underpins the Nissan March (Nissan Micra), Nissan Sentra (Nissan Sunny) and Nissan Note. Reports suggest that it will pack a 1.6-litre flex-fuel (petrol/ethanol) engine paired to a five speed manual or an X-TRONIC CVT unit.
