The new K10 will come with an automated manual transmission as well as a manual.
Maruti-Suzuki have reportedly showcased the new Maruti Alto K10 at a concert in Chandigarh, as per a tweet we received today. The new model will go on sale shortly, and will bring cosmetic and mechanical changes to the budget hatchback.
The new K10 is based on the Alto 800's body, but is styled with new headlights, taillights and bumpers. The interior is in a dual-tone black-and-beige layout, and changes are also expected to the instrument cluster and center console.
The car will be powered by the same 1.0-liter three-cylinder K-Series engine, which on the current K1o outputs 68 PS (67.04 bhp) and 90 Nm of torque. Where the current K10 is solely available with a 5-speed manual transmission, the new K10 will get the option of an automated manual transmission, thus making it the most affordable automatic car in the country.
