The new K10 will come with an AMT system.
The new Maruti Alto K10 is ready for dealer dispatch as seen in these images where thousands of them are lined up ready to be transported. Hence, the launch is expected to take place anytime now.
As reported previously, the new K10 is based on the Alto 800. Designers have given the K10 new headlights, a single-slat chrome grille, new bumpers with foglight enclosures and Celerio-inspired taillights to better differentiate it from the Alto 800.
Inside, the new K10 will get a 3-spoke steering wheel, a revised instrument panel and the top-end variant will get beige inserts for the door trims, as seen in one of these spyshots.
The K10 will continue to be powered by the 1.0-liter three-cylinder K-Series engine which makes 68 PS (67.04 bhp) and 90 Nm of torque. The fuel efficiency of the small car is expected to improve however.

The major talking point of the new K10 will be its 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT), making the new K10 the most affordable automatic car in the country. The standard transmission will continue to be the 5-speed manual unit.
