Has no mechanical changes.
The New Maruti Alto 800 (facelift) is expected to be launched later this month in India, and after a number of spy shot appearances, the updated model has been revealed clearly. A set of images from Autocar India's test drive of the car gives the first clear look at the exterior and interior of the 2016 Maruti Alto 800 (2016 Suzuki Alto 800).
The exterior of the facelifted Alto 800 was already been compared with the pre-facelift Alto 800 earlier this week. While the new model doesn't look very different from the previous model, it has actually changed in size; the length has been increased from 3,395 mm to 3,430 mm, courtesy of its new bumper.
Interior changes include new fabric for the seats and door pads, and some equipment upgrades in all the trim levels. The base trim level has gained a new shade for the seats and a passenger side exterior mirror, while the LXi and VXi trim levels benefit from additional storage space at the back and a child-safety lock. Moreover, rear spoiler, full wheel covers, front power windows and central locking have been made standard offerings now, Autocar reports.
The 2016 Maruti Alto 800 doesn't receive any mechanical changes with the facelift. It continues with the 0.8-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that makes 48 PS (47 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 69 Nm at 3,500 rpm, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.
