Available only with the 2.2 mHawk engine.
Agni Incorporated Pvt Ltd., the sole distributor of Mahindra products in Nepal, launched the new Mahindra Scorpio in Nepal with prices starting at 3.57 million NPR (INR 22.14 lakhs). The new Scorpio is available in Nepal in three variants - S2, S4, S10 - and in five colors, diamond white, fiery black, mist silver, new molten red and new regal blue.
The Mahindra Scorpio for Nepal is available only with the more powerful 2.2-liter four-cylinder mHawk diesel engine which is carried over from the previous generation model. The engine is capable of producing 120 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque between 1,800-2,800 rpm and comes matched to a 5-speed manual transmission. The less powerful m2DiCr 2.5-liter engine is not sold to the mountain nation.
The new Scorpio is based on a new hydroformed ladder-frame chassis, and gets a cosmetic update for its front and rear fascias. Redesigned headlamps with projector beams and LED 'winkers' combined with a new grille and bumper give the Scorpio a fresh look.
The rear sees the integration of LED taillights, a black applique for the back door and grab rails for easier entry and exit. The top-end S10 trim also gets new 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the Scorpio gets a massive makeover in the form of a new dashboard with the XUV500's steering wheel and a new 6-inch touchscreen infotainment display with integrated navigation.
