Its not often that Honda conducts a world premiere in India. Sorry, lets correct that statement: Honda Cars has never conducted a world premiere in India, until today. The all-new Honda City was unveiled in New Delhi a couple of hours ago, and is all set to go on sale in India in early 2014.

From the outside, the new City's design can be termed as an evolution of its predecessor, rather than a revolution. It will be the first Honda in India to sport the brand's new design language termed as "EXCITING H DESIGN". While its predecessor had an "Arrow Shot" form, the designers of the new City have coined the phrase "Sleek Cross-motion form".
Underneath the hood, for the first time ever, the new City will be available with a diesel heart. Honda haven't released the specifications of this engine, though the company has made it official that the 1.5-liter EarthDreams engine found powering the Amaze will be used.

The petrol City will use an improved version of the current 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine. Again, the specifications are unknown, though in the previous City, this engine produces 118 PS and 144 Nm of torque, and was made available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed auto with paddle shifters.
