Honda Beat joins the list of full-bodied scooters in the Philippines which includes Click 125i.
The refreshed Honda Beat has been launched in Philippines. It utilises a slim and sharp form which is targeted towards the millennials. The scooter gains a newly designed alloy wheels, tubeless tyres and a semi-digital instrumentation with an economy indicator.
At the heart of the new Honda Beat is a 108.20 cc air cooled mill which is an upgrade from the outgoing version. It produces 6.45 KW @ 7,500 rpm and 9.14 Nm @ 6,000 rpm. The Honda Beat also gets a start-stop mechanism which switches off the engine when the scooter is stationary for some time, say at a traffic light.
Apart from this, the 2017 Honda Beat gets an ACG starter which unlike the conventional starters is smooth and quiet, claims Honda. The graphics of the scooter have been designed keeping the Filipino youth in mind. These exclusive Filipino colours and designs will also translate to other models in the future.
The braking system is assisted with Honda’s patented Combined Braking System (CBS) as an option. The Honda Beat will be available in 6 colour options which include Winning Red (red-white), Vivid Blue metallic, Space Magenta metallic, Ross White, Winning Red (red-black) and Black.
The new Honda Beat has been given a starting price tag of PHP 63,900.
