A matte-black colour variant of the Yamaha YZF-R15 v3.0 has been spotted at a dealership in Chennai, reports Maxabout. The new colour variant is reportedly a dealer-level job meant for display at Yamaha events.
Apart from the new colour, the bike features a Green stripe on the fairing and Yamaha logo. There are Monster Energy stickers on the fairing, headlight cowl and on the fuel tank as well. Apart from the visual changes, the bike is stock. The news site reports that the brand may consider launching the colour variant after 3-4 months. At present, the Yamaha YZF-R15 v3.0 is available in two colours: Thunder Grey and Racing Blue. Both the variants cost INR 1,25,000, ex-showroom, Delhi.

The Yamaha YZF-R15 V 3.0 employs a bigger 155 cc single cylinder mill with liquid cooling VVA technology and fuel injection. It generates 19.3 PS of power at 10,000 rpm, and a torque of 15 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The mill pairs with a 6-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch.
Cycle parts include telescopic front fork and rear link-type monoshock. The bike comes to a halt using 282 mm front and 220 mm rear disc brakes. Yamaha also offers a choice of accessories like seat cover, tank pad, frame slider, skid plate, mobile charging port. For track-only purposes, the Japanese brand offers Daytona muffler and a Metzeler rear tyre as well.
