The production TVS Akula 310 is reported to be called the TVS Apache RR 310S.
The clearest spy images thus far of the TVS Apache RR 310S have been shared by Maxabout. Although dressed in camouflage, the test unit confirms that the flagship TVS will have a big bike feel to it.
The TVS Apache RR 310S also continues to retain the vertically mounted instrumentation console seen in the concept model. The motorcycle gets premium features like a radially mounted front caliper, upside down fork up front and disc brakes at both ends. An ABS ring is not visible on the motorcycle but the final production version will get a dual channel ABS at least as an option, it is believed.
The 'devil's horn' taillamp in the TVS Apache RR 310S gets LEDs while the indicators also seem to be LED based. The exhaust canister is a direct lift from the BMW G310R, while tyres seem to have been sourced from Michelin.
The headlamp gets LED daytime running lights and HID projectors, giving hints that TVS aims to make night riding a lot safer. However, a lot will depend on the headlamp throw.
The 313 cc single cylinder, liquid-cooled BMW engine coupled to a 6-speed gearbox is capable of producing 34 hp of power and 28 Nm of torque in the German roadster. TVS may detune this slightly in favour of fuel efficiency, but a video of a Bajaj Dominar 400 unable to keep up with the Apache RR 310S test prototype displays the motorcycle's potentially monstrous acceleration and top speed.
