The modified Royal Enfield Thunderbird by Bulleteer Customs gets a revised cockpit, repositioned key-slot and a shorter sub-frame - all of which aim to give it a Bobber motorcycle-inspired styling.

The modified Thunderbird is based on the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500, which has undergone severe changes. The fascia retains the round headlight with a chrome ring. Unlike some of the modifications that you have seen from Bulleteer Customs in the past, the Brutis does not get a full LED setup. Handlebar integrated front blinkers give the fascia a cleaner and minimalistic look.

The revised cockpit gets a single-pod instrument console (instead of twin-pod display on the standard bike) along with a flatter handlebar. The key-slot has been repositioned to the left side of the engine. The Thunderbird retains the stock fuel tank design with an asymmetrically mounted filler cap. The saddle, however, has been completely revised for the modified motorcycle. The rider-only seat is installed on a modified and shortened sub-frame.

The revised sub-frame gives the bike a compact look, while at the same time, revealing the rear section of the vehicle. The aftermarket stop light sits under the rider’s saddle while the rear blinkers are installed next to the back shock absorbers. A fatter rear wheel gives the Brutis a muscular look. An aftermarket exhaust completes the Bobber-inspired styling.

The modified bodywork is complemented by the stealthy paint job. Almost all the components on the Brutis get a black finish. The contrasting graphics on the tank stop the visuals from being monotonous. Knobby tyres add a pinch of ruggedness to the Brutis.

Hardware specifications have been retained in stock form, and the shock absorption tasks are performed by conventional telescopic forks at the front and twin springs at the back. Fork gaiters cover the chrome part of the front suspension to enhance the stealthy look of the modified Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500. Stopping power comes from single disc brakes.

Alterations to the mechanical specifications have not been mentioned and thus we assume that the modified Thunderbird motorcycle uses the engine in the factory state of tune. The 499 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder mill produces 27.57 PS at 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The motor is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
