First ever passenger vehicle with VR10 protection.
Mercedes India has announced the launch of the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 Guard in Delhi today, which is priced at INR 10.5 crores (ex-showroom Delhi), thus making it the most expensive Mercedes product in India
Unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016, the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 Guard is the first passenger vehicle to feature VR10 protection rating, which is the highest there is. The exterior has the ballistic protection materials integrated into the body panels in such a way that the car looks similar to the regular S 600 Maybach from outside as well as inside.To handle the increased weight, the air suspension has been toughened up. The wheels are shod with exclusive Michelin PAX run-flat tyres that provide a 30 km driving range in damaged condition. There’s also an automatic fire suppression system and an emergency fresh air circulation in the cabin.

Under the hood is a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 petrol engine that generates 530 hp and 830 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission. For safety reasons, the top speed has been limited to 190 km/h.
