Mercedes-Benz Indonesia's third and fourth India-bound models presented at the 2014 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS 2014) are the Mercedes GLA and the Mercedes C Class, targeting the growing group of younger Indonesian customers.
Mercedes GLA
Mercedes-Benz has started accepting orders for the Mercedes GLA in India and will be launched on the 30th of this month.
Rivaling the BMW X1 and Audi Q3, the GLA for Indonesia is powered by the 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with an output of 156 bhp at 5,300 rpm and 250 Nm at 1,250-4,000 rpm.
Features on the GLA Class include a panoramic sunroof, ECO Start/Stop, traction and stability control, 7 airbags, ASC, Attention Assist, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and tire pressure loss warning.
As for the prices, the Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 Urban is priced at IDR 599 million (INR 30.39 lakhs), while for the Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 Sport is priced at IDR 649 million (INR 32.92 lakhs).
Mercedes C Class
The new Mercedes C Class has been launched in Indonesia with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 184 bhp with 300 Nm of torque on the C 200 Avantgarde, and the more premium C 250 AMG variant providing 211 bhp with 350 Nm of torque.
In these configurations, the C 200 Avantgarde is able to travel 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds, while the C 250 AMG is faster, doing it in just 6.6 seconds. The fuel efficiencies are rated at 18.83 km/l and 17.85 km/l, and the CO2 emissions are at 123 g/km and 131 g/km respectively.
The C 200 and C 250 are priced at Rp 739 million (INR 37.49 lakhs) and Rp 899 million (INR 45.61 lakhs) respectively.
