Powered by a 6.2-litre V8.
The Mercedes AMG GT3 has been showcased at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
It replaces the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3, and uses a naturally aspirated 6.2-litre V8 engine from the said car, and will be available to race from the 2016 GT3 season. In comparison to the standard Mercedes AMG GT, the GT3 racer gets an angry-looking front-end, wider tracks, an extensive aero kit, and a lot of carbon fibre panels including the bonnet, doors, wings and side skirts.
The Mercedes AMG GT3 is based on an aluminium spaceframe, comes with a six-speed sequential gearbox, is rear wheel driven, and comes with an integral roll cage.
