Likely to sport design cues from the Suzuki iV-4 concept.
The Maruti YBA sub-4 metre SUV has been snapped testing with camouflage at Hatu Peak, Himachal Pradesh, by a Team-BHP member. The car was recently spotted in Rajasthan too.
Reported to be named the Maruti Vitara Brezza, the compact SUV is codenamed 'YBA' and is anticipated to be unveiled just before the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida in February. The model is perceived to be a Ford EcoSport rival that will also take on the Mahindra TUV300.
Sources say that the sub-S-Cross SUV is based on an all-new platform which shares some parts from the Maruti Swift. The powertrain options are expected to be the same as that of the Maruti Baleno and the Swift, which include the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine and the 1.3-litre Fiat-sourced DDiS diesel motor.

The standard transmissions on both engines are expected to be five-speed units while the petrol model could get a CVT variant to compete with the Ford EcoSport's AT version which uses a six-speed Powershift Dual-Clutch Transmission.
