Maruti-Suzuki today revealed its compact SUV, the Maruti Vitara Brezza at the Auto Expo 2016. The Vitara Brezza is the car maker's answer to the Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300, and is the first Maruti product to have been completely developed by Maruti Suzuki.
On the outside, the Maruti Vitara Brezza is equipped with a dual-tone paint scheme (contrast roof), 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, projector headlights and integrated turn signals on the wing mirrors.
According to a report, the Maruti Vitara Brezza will be available in six variants, with ABS, EBD and dual front airbags being standard on the Z variants and optional on the L and V variants. The top-end ZDi+ will also get a SmartPlay touchscreen entertainment system.
The Vitara Brezza is powered by the familiar 1.3-liter DDiS diesel four-cylinder engine capable of 90 PS at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width, 1,640 mm in height and 2,500 mm in wheelbase. The compact SUV has a boot space of 328 liters, tyre size of 215/60 R16 and ground clearance of 198 mm.
