Team-BHP.com user Mr.Anshuman, has posted a few photographs of the Maruti Swift Dzire facelift from an undisclosed location.
The Dzire is a made-for-India product on the Swift platform launched in early 2012. The compact sedan segment is among the fastest growing accounting for 80 percent of the lower-mid segment which sees monthly sales of 30,000 units. Since the Dzire's launch, Honda and Maruti have brought in their competitors, while Tata Motors will introduce its answer, the Zest, in the coming months.
The flurry of competitors calls for a mid-cycle change that can also address customer needs for new features.
As these pictures show, the Maruti Dzire facelift gets a chrome-slab across the grille area and new smoked headlights. The foglamp enclosure is also fitted with a chrome element, while chrome bar on the bootlid and the accompanying badges do not differ. The rear bumper appears a tad different, missing out on the centrally placed reflector.
On the features front, Maruti will introduce keyless entry and a push-button start (available on the European Swift). The top-end variant (ZDi/ZXi) may come with daytime running lamps. No mechanical changes are expected at the moment, but AMT technology is available for Maruti to launch on the Dzire (or the Swift) if there is enough supply.
