Maruti has launched its first ever commercial pick up in India - the Maruti Super Carry. For now it's only launched in Ahmedabad, Ludhiana and Kolkata, and priced at INR 4.03 Lakhs, INR 4.11 Lakhs and INR 4.01 Lakhs (all ex-showroom) respectively.
The Tata Ace-rival has a payload capacity of 750 kg. It measures 3.8 meters long and 1.56 meters wide, has a load deck measuring 2.18 x 1.49 meters, a ground clearance of 175 mm and a turning cycle of 8.6 meters diameter.
The suspension system comprises of independent MacPherson struts and coil springs in the front and a rigid axle with leaf springs at the rear. It sources the 793 cc two-cylinder diesel engine from the Maruti Celerio, producing 24 KW (32 hp) at 3500 RPM and 75 Nm at 2000 RPM. It is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and capable of fuel efficiency of 22.07 Km/L as well as a top speed of 80 Kmph.
As standard, it is equipped with a mobile charging socket, dual assist grip, odometer, trip meter, fuel meter, digital clock, provision for a stereo, integrated rain guard, sliding back window glass, and spare wheel.
