A microsite of the Maruti S-Cross is now available for potential customers to register their interest in the "premium crossover". According to Maruti - "The premium crossover is ready to hit the roads. The spacious and luxurious car is powered with an unbeatable engine."
The S-Cross for the Indian market is expected to be powered by the 1.6-liter Fiat-sourced MultiJet diesel engine, which on the European version makes 120 PS and 320 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. However, according to reports, the S-Cross will also get a 1.3-liter DDiS diesel engine matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The S-Cross in its European specification measures 4,300 mm in length, 1,765 mm in breadth, 1,580 mm in height and 2,600 mm in wheelbase. With a ground clearance of 170 mm, the crossover gets a boot volume of 430 liters with all seats in place.

For the Indian market, the S-Cross is expected to come with features such as projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, alloy wheels, power folding wing mirrors, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, rear AC vents, Maruti's SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system, and front, rear and side skid guards. The S-Cross will join the Ciaz in Maruti's premium NEXA range of dealerships.
