The updated S-Cross comes with a heavily redesigned front section with aggressive headlamps and a more sculpted front bumper accompanied by an upright chrome infused grille.

In October 2016, Maruti Suzuki shipped 2,113 units to customers. The S-Cross has managed to post a YoY jump of more than 100%. Also, the S-Cross managed to outsell major rivals like Honda BR-V (1,280) and Renault Duster (919). It managed to beat fellow Nexa products Ciaz (4,170) and Ignis (3,072) in terms of total sales as well. However, the number could decline once the initial hype dies down. The forthcoming months will offer a clearer picture.

The updated S-Cross has been launched sans the 1.6 L DDiS 320 diesel. The 1.3 L DDiS 200 becomes the sole engine option on offer. It now features Suzuki's Smart Hybrid technology.
