A facelift for the MPV is just around the corner.
Maruti Suzuki has introduced a limited edition on the Ertiga called the Paseo Explore edition. Likely based on the VXi/VDi trim, this edition gets a list of additional aftermarket features.
On the outside, the Ertiga Paseo edition gets side body decals, blackened-out rear pillars and a rear spoiler. Inside, Maruti has given the MPV a cool/warm box, seat covers, Bluetooth, a multi-device charger, steering wheel cover, storage compartment, pillows, door sill guards and designer mats. On the feature front, the limited edition gets a digital tyre inflator and reverse parking sensors.
In July 2014, Maruti had launched a special edition on the Ertiga to commemorate sales of 150,000 units. The Paseo limited edition celebrates the 200,000 sales figure, though it could be one of the ways the car maker wants to exhaust inventory, as a facelift for the Ertiga is just around the corner.
Suzuki's Indonesian officials have confirmed that the Ertiga facelift will debut at the GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) on August 20. Post its Indonesian debut, a domestic launch of the facelifted Ertiga is expected within a matter of weeks, as the product has crossed the 3-year mark in its lifecycle (the Ertiga was launched in April 2012). Also, India serves as the mother plant for the MPV.
